Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

{image via:we heart it}

Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe it's 2011, life is passing by all too quickly. 2010 was an awesome year when I look back on last year's resolutions. I actually achieved nearly all of them. There's a couple that are going to make it back on to this year's list though.

In 2011 I will:

Eat healthily and lose at least half a stone

I am well aware that this makes my resolution list every year, but I really, really REALLY want to shape up this year. Now that I work full time and have a little bit more money to spend I'm going to treat myself to a gym membership. The grand plan is to swim once a week, gym twice a week and korfball twice a week. Watch this space!

Stock up my Etsy store

In 2010 I became quite the crafts lady and opened my very own Etsy shop. My plan for 2011 is to fill my shop with handmade goodies, including my knitting. At the moment it's a little bare.

Go on a holiday abroad with Ben

I can say, with almost 100% confidence that we will be going away this year. At least, we better be as I've pretty much bought my entire snowboarding outfit. I have a crazy month in work awaiting me when I go back on Tuesday so the plan is to go on holiday at the beginning of February. I can't wait. I've never been proper skiing, and I've definitely never tried snowboarding, so it could be a very interesting week.

Read more books

I was slack on the book reading last year. I didn't join in with many of my book club's group reads and I chose to slob in front of the tele instead. Probably the reason why I failed on the weight loss goal as well. So this year I need to get reading. I need to make time to read in the evenings and turn the tele off when there is nothing worth watching. And I need to join in with the book club. The January read is Jane Eyre, which I've never read but feel as if I should. Here's to more book reviews in 2011. How cool are those book shelves by the way!?

Get a kitten

And I'd like a ginger one please :)

Blog more and reach 200 followers

{image via:we heart it}

My blog has grown more than I could imagine this year. I've gone from something like 23 followers to over 70. This makes me smile. So in 2011 the plan is to blog more. At least twice a week is my main aim.

Take more photographs and buy a new camera

I've stopped taking pictures recently and I think it's because I desperately want a decent camera. This year will be the year I buy my first SLR.

Save some money

I guess this should be the biggie. I'm only full time on a temporary basis, so I may find myself dropping back down to part time hours at the end of the year. Fingers crossed that I won't. But it does mean that I actually need to put money away each month while I can. Here's to having money in my savings account by the end of the year.

So my resolutions are a little more superficial than last year but I figure that's a sign of what I achieved last year. What are your New Year's resolutions? Link me up!
