Curiouser and curiouser, don't you think?

I've not blogged for nearly a week. I'd planned to blog on Friday but only one thing was occupying my mind. Japan. I couldn't put down in words how I was feeling. But someone that has is my lovely sister. Her blog post about the Japan earthquake and tsunami is fantastic and is totally how I feel about the whole thing. It puts your life into perspective when something like this happens. Everything that worries me, that I get upset over, angry over and bitch about is nothing compared to what the people of Japan are going through right now. All the people affected by this terrible natural disaster are in my thoughts.

I have received an invite from the Queen. No, not to the royal wedding. This invite is from the Queen of Hearts requesting that I attend the event Dining with Alice.


I am so excited about this. In May my friend and I are going to Elsing Hall in Norfolk to dine with Alice.

From what we understand (the whole event is rather shrouded in mystery), the beautiful gardens of Elsing Hall will be transformed into Wonderland. Dining with Alice imagines you’ve followed in Alice’s footsteps, fallen down the rabbit hole and found yourself in Wonderland in the company of the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, and even Alice herself. How cool is that!?

The show is being put on by the creative company Artichoke. They have put on some amazing shows across the UK. Check out this spider type machine walking through the streets of Liverpool.

The catering is going to be done by Bompas and Parr. From what I can tell they make the most amazing jellies, so I am seriously intrigued as to what they're going to serve up for a four course meal.

It's all a bit of a mystery. I'm re-reading the book as I type (almost).
