I found it all rather emotional actually. The BBC coverage, every now and again, showed shots of Diana. I bet she was smiling down and bursting with pride. Someone being interviewed in the crowd mentioned that the moment Kate started walking down the isle the sun suddenly broke through the clouds. She said 'it was definitely Diana'. I like to think it was too.

Kate's dress was incredible, in fact, it was perfect. It was elegant, delicate and really did make her look like a princess. Again, I think a certain Alexander McQueen was smiling down on the big day. I love the fact that she did her own make up, just shows how down to earth she is. I plan to do my own on my big day - I don't like people touching my face. Simple.

When William and Kate walked out onto the balcony it was great to see her gasp at the sight of the crowds outside. There were literally millions of people.

I thought William driving the vintage Aston Martin with balloons, streamers and a 'just wed' number plate was brilliant. They are my favourite royals ever!
And of course I made a cake to celebrate. A (royal) blue velvet cake in homage to Kate's sapphire engagement ring.

However, a red velvet cake recipe does not become a blue velvet cake recipe just by replacing the red food colouring with blue food colouring. I needed to use way less cocoa powder. I have renamed it the 'Royal poo cake'. It tastes good though.

I hope you all enjoyed the wedding too. If not, I promise not to post about it again.
