Postcard swap

After reading Erin's Travel Tales, and in particular this post by Sarah of a Lost Feather, I really want to know more about the places, not where you have travelled to, but where you live. I totally take for granted that thousands of people travel to Norfolk every year for the beautiful scenery, countryside and coastline. So, my idea is to do a bloggers postcard swap.

The plan is to each send say 6 - 8 postcards to 6 - 8 different people. So I'll take names over the next couple of weeks, if we only get 6 of us wanting to participate then that's fine, makes the organisation easy. But if there are a few of us I'll split us into groups and ensure that there is a mix of places in each group (so you don't end up with 8 postcards from the country/city/town you live in).

I had a quick estimate as to cost. If we send 8 postcards each, lets say average postage is £1 and average postcard is 30 p, we're probably looking at about £10 each. I could split us into groups of 6, that way it will be about £8 each. Just depends how many lovely postcards you want to receive.

The idea is to send a postcard from the place you live. Not necessarily the town you live in, but somewhere close by that makes where you live special. Remember, what seems like home and normality to you, may be completely enchanting and new to someone else.

If you're interested in taking part, just drop me an email with your full name and the address you wish to receive your postcards.

I'm so excited to see where you guys call home. Spread the message via Twitter, your blogs, anyway you fancy and feel free to use the postcard picture above.
