Gelukkig weekend!

According to Google Translate that means happy weekend in Dutch!

Well I've had an unexpected blogging break. I just haven't felt like turning my computer on. I've always said if I'm having to wrack my brains for something to post then I probably shouldn't bother.

I've decided to scrap the 'my week in Instagram' posts. It was fun for a while, but I started to find it a chore to take pictures. No fun! Instead I'm going to write about my weekends in more detail. I try and make my weekends as action packed as possible seeing as I work full time. When I get my new camera I plan on heading to some pretty cool places to take some pictures.

If you follow me on Twitter you'll know that I headed out of the country this weekend. On Friday we caught the ferry from Dover and headed over to France.

We drove through France, Belgium and into Holland to play in a Dutch korfball tournament. We had a lot of fun despite the two hour traffic jam outside Antwerp, the rain, the thunder and lightening and soggy tents. We were in a pool too high for us, so we spent the day on Saturday being hammered by Dutch teams. But we won a couple of matches and I scored a goal, can't complain too much! It was a great experience and has us all fired up for the indoor season.

It was also a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, so yesterday I spent the day with Ben's family at one of my favourite places - Aldeburgh. There is the cutest pink house in Aldeburgh and I was amazed to find out that Layla Amber gets to stay there!

Isn't it cute!?

We were treated to some pretty impressive fish and chips at Aldeburgh. So impressive in fact, that the queue ran all the way down the street. Totally worth the wait.

I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, in fact I hope you've had a lovely week! I've decided to give up on Disqus. I know a few of you have had problems leaving me comments so I have switched back to the basic blogger commenting system. Fill me in on what you've been up to. I have a lot of catching up to do.

  1. That house is ADORABLE, and I'm not one to call houses something like that lol! My parents were away for the weekend so I've been a busy bee looking after the rest of the family, pets, and COOKING! *gasp* I feel like a real woman now! Or not.. :P

I'm off to Norwich tomorrow to get a haircut and then going to apply for some jobs. Fingers crossed I'll actually get one this year :) I hope the rest of your week is as good as your weekend was! x
