Friday Favourites #27

Does anyone else have the rule that on the 1st December you can put your Christmas decorations up? Because we are never actually at home over the Christmas period I always want to get the small amount of decorations I have up as soon as possible, and for me, the 1st of December is acceptable. I need to start gathering some Christmas decorations. At the moment we have a lonely Christmas tree; which is quite small so doesn't make the house feel very Christmassy at all.

After reading the latest GoodHomes magazine, which is full of festive fantabulousness, I am fully in the Christmas spirit and ready to decorate my house from head to tinsely toes. Here are a few Christmas ideas I have come across so far.

Jewelry Making Supply - £4.50

My plan is to make my own wrapping paper this year. How about buying a festive stamp, some brown wrapping paper and some red ribbon, and making your own this year too?

Not on the High Street - £6

Paper chains are perfect for decorating the fire place.

Cath Kidston - £10

Not that I've cooked a Christmas dinner in my life. The problem is I wouldn't want to only be able to use this at Christmas.

Laura Ashley - £18 £13.50

These placemats are lovely and would bring a winter flurry to anyones Christmas table. They also have matching coasters priced currently at £6.

Not on the High Street - £5.99

Anything with a deer or reindeer on and I am sold. This bauble is gorgeous.

Disney Store - £15

And finally, a topper for my tree! I actually already have one, but come on? Jack Skellington is a must.

I have a feeling this could be one of many Christmas themed Friday Favourites. Have a lovely weekend everyone.

  3. This year we are saving our paper bags to use for wrapping paper! We usually use the reverse size (with no logos) and draw or paint designs, but a Christmas-themed stamp is a great idea! It's cheap and a good way to reuse the bags.

We are still in Thanksgiving mode here in the states, but come November 25th we'll be getting into the Christmas spirit.

  4. lOVE these decorations and ideas! Yep, here in the states (like Meg stated) we're in Thanksgiving mode and the day after Thanksgiving is when a lot of Christmas trees go up! Most likely after people are done shopping on Black Friday :)
